Naperville Crime Stoppers is a crime prevention program geared toward public involvement in the fight against crime. It provides an avenue which permits and encourages citizens to contribute to the safety of the Naperville community.

To submit a tip to the Naperville Crime Stoppers just phone 630-420-6006. Crime Stoppers has gone to great lengths to ensure that your tip will be received anonymously so that you do not have to identify yourself, all you will have to do is report the information that you have.

Crime Stoppers is based on the principal that "someone other than the criminal has information that can solve a crime." Crime Stoppers was created to combat the three major problems faced by law enforcement in generating that information:

  • Fear of REPRISAL
  • An Attitude of APATHY
  • Reluctance to get INVOLVED

Crime Stoppers resolves these problems by:

  • Offering ANONYMITY to people whom provides information about crimes.
  • Paying REWARDS when the information leads to arrest.

The Naperville Crime Stoppers and the Illinois State Crime Stoppers Association are counting on all Illinois residents to help them reduce the crimes that cost taxpayers millions of dollars every year. By participating in the Illinois State Tax Check-Off Program, Illinois taxpayers can help fund Crime Stopper programs.
Using Schedule G of the Illinois income tax return, taxpayers can donate to the Illinois State Crime Stoppers Association. All funds allocated to the Check-Off Program are tax deductible.
Since Governor Quinn’s recent announcement declaring an end to state borrowing from the Check-Off Program groups, every dollar a taxpayer designates to Illinois State Crime Stoppers Association will be used to enhance existing local Crime Stopper organizations like Naperville and to develop new Crime Stopper groups in areas where no such programs exist.
Crime Stopper organizations in Illinois have been very successful in helping law enforcement agencies solve crimes. Thanks to Crime Stoppers, many arrests have been made and a large percentage of stolen property has been recovered. To learn more, visit the Illinois State Crime Stoppers Association website at
